1. Eligibility

This contest is open to legal residents of the state of Hawaiʻi that are the parent or legal guardian of a child currently enrolled in elementary school (grades K–5) for the 2024–2025 academic year. Employees of Aloha Tofu, Foodland Super Market, Ltd., and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

2. Contest Period

Entries will be accepted from May 20, 2025 (12:00 AM HST) through July 4, 2025 (11:59 PM HST). Entries submitted before or after this period will not be considered.

3. How to Enter

To enter, parents or legal guardians must complete the submission form on the Aloha TofuVentures landing page. Each submission must include:

• Child’s first name and current grade

• Name of the recipe(s) made

• Tofu type used (Aloha Tofu or Maika‘i Tofu)

• A photo of the completed dish

• Optional video (up to 30 seconds) of the dish or cooking experience

• Optional short comment from the child about their tofu creation

Participants are encouraged to try at least one tofu recipe. Multiple entries (up to 3) are allowed as long as each submission features a different dish.

4. Parental Consent

All entries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. By submitting, you certify that:

• You are the parent or legal guardian of the child

• You consent to the child’s participation

• You agree to the use of submitted content for promotional purposes

5. Use of Submitted Content

By entering, you grant Aloha Tofu and Foodland the unrestricted, royalty-free, perpetual right to use, reproduce, publish, display, and share submitted materials—including images, videos, and written content—on social media, websites, print materials, and other marketing channels. No additional compensation will be provided for use of these materials.

6. Judging and Selection

All eligible entries will be reviewed by a panel including guest judge Chef Keoni Chang, Corporate Chef of Foodland. Five children will be selected as Aloha Tofu Kid Ambassadors based on creativity, presentation, and enthusiasm for tofu.

Each winner will receive:

• An invitation to the Aloha Tofu 75th Anniversary Party and $75 Foodland Gift Card

Winners will be announced in early August 2025 via Aloha Tofu’s website and Instagram account. Selected parent-child ambassadors will be contacted via email in early August.

7. Privacy

Personal information collected through the entry form will be used solely for the purpose of administering this contest and will not be sold or shared with third parties.

8. General Conditions

Aloha Tofu and Foodland reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest at any time if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or fairness of the contest. They also reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or violates these rules.
